Freedom by Jonathan Franzen
– following a couples intimate lives though decades we follow the US moving through the 1900´s. Sensitive. Emotional. Brilliant.

Sunset Park by Paul Auster
– another classic. And more easy than the most Auster-books. The economy might be down, we still have art and love!

Disgrace by J. M. Goetze
– rough portrait of the hate (that goes both ways) in South Africa. Icecold.

America America by Ethan Canin
– following a poor boy working for a rich family in the 60´s USA we learn about the cynicism amongst the powerful. Strong stuff.
